People are advised to charge their mobile phone, tablet, laptop and torch ahead of the emergence of Storm Eowyn.
Met Eireann claims that the storm could bring winds of up to 80mph and could have extremely dangerous consequences for anyone caught up at its peak.
They also say that electricity blackouts will happen across the country and that power may be gone for sometime.
People are advised to check in on neighbours and family, particularly the elderly ahead of the storm.
