After a dodgy weekend of cool temperatures and heavy rains in places, we can expect fine weather to make a welcome return by mid-week. The thermometer is forecast to reach 18C by Wednesday.
Met Eireann have said that it will be dry in most areas, but there will be outbreaks of rain, particularly in the north-west.
High pressure will be predominant this week, with temperatures averaging 14C to 16C, and might rise to 17C or 18C by midweek.
