One of the country’s biggest retailers is set to revolutionise the Irish shopping experience as one its stores has been granted permission for a pub licence.

Yes! Dublin’s very own Brown Thomas has been officially given the go ahead to sell alcohol at its Grafton Street store.

It is understood the new bar will be placed on the third floor of its store after it undergoes major renovation work in the next few months. The granting of the liquor licence coincided with approval of its planning application recently.

The move could been seen as the start of a new trend which provides reluctant shoppers the chance to be on their own with a drink, whilst their other half go off shopping.
