Going by the latest opinion polls, Labour is about to be what many feel is rightfully decimated by the electorate.
After failed promises, increased taxes, water charges, property charges and an overall brush of austerity across the board, the so-called “workers party” is about to take a Rocky-type uppercut to their political chin.
No more so than Tanasite Joan Burton. The 68-yr-old is said to be “almost guaranteed to lose her seat” in her Dublin West constituency according to a Fine Gael pollster.
Burton is currently running 5th in the 4 seater with an unfavourable transfer option. Her current poll figures indicate the public’s hatred and distrust towards her and her governmental party.
