The European Parliament election is scheduled for next month, and the Green Party has launched its campaign.
It is nominating Senator Pauline O’Reilly for the Midlands North West, MEP Ciaran Cuffe for Dublin, and MEP Grace O’Sullivan for the South seat, reports RTE.
In addition to demanding that aircraft pay taxes, as do farmers and drivers, Mr. Cuffe advocated for a tax on aviation fuel.
Although the party’s programme is now mainstream, it claimed that it has been promoting the same objectives since the 1980s, reports RTE.
