Chicago has topped the list of ‘rattiest’ cities in the US for the sixth year in a row.
The dubious ranking, compiled by pest-control company Orkin, is based on the number of new rodent treatments in a 12-month period.
Chicago’s so-called ‘war on rats’ has been ongoing for a very long time, but officials say that the pandemic is making things worse for households as close restaurants and food outlets mean that rats are moving into homes in search of food and shelter.
