The Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan has called on the public to redouble their efforts in order to continue the downward trend of Covid-19 cases.
Holohan’s comments come as 380 cases were reported in Ireland on Wednesday.
Although the Chief Medical Officer called the reduction in cases positive and encouraging, he warned now is not the time step back from adhering to public guidelines.
He added that people must continue to social distance and practice hygiene protocols such as hand washing and the wearing of face masks.
