A very small child was so malnourished that she couldn’t even stand and was left with no teeth in her head because her vegan parents wouldn’t feed her and kept her on a diet of oats and rice milk for the first 19 months of her life.
The little girl suffered so badly that the mental trauma that she went through and abuse that she endured has now made her obese for fear that it will happen to her again.
The girl’s parents are 35 and 32 years old and are facing extremely long jail sentences in Sydney Australia where they are currently on trial in court.
It’s understood that they can’t be named for fear of the child ‘s identity been known.
The girl, who is now 3 years of age, developed rickets because of a lack of basic nutrients that her parents deprived her, and neighbours didn’t even know that she existed for close to a year and a half.
It’s understood that the little girl only was rescued after she had a seizure at 2 years of age weighing just 11lbs and needed medical treatment.
Thankfully, the little girl has been taken into care and has been well looked after now, but has tragically became obese in fear that such a horrific thing could happen to her again.
It’s understood that the parents are trying to argue that their child was a fussy eater and she only ate certain things, but carers say that’s not the case and that she was forced food that has absolutely no nutrients that a growing baby needs.
In Court, her parents admitted to failing to provide for a child and causing serious harm to the child. We will endeavour to update you on the results of this case.
