The Chinese city of Wuhan has seen some scenes of normality as thousands of people gathered for a pool party over the weekend.
In what has been a drastic change from nine months ago, the city where the Covid-19 pandemic began thousands of residents packed together at the Wuhan Maya Beach Water Park.
According to BBC News, almost 15,000 people attended the event over the weekend with no social distancing in place.
In scenes which have been described as worrying by medical experts, partygoers were seen enjoying themselves as the city hasn’t reported a Covid-19 case since May.
Although the park is operating at reduced capacity, the city’s residents were given somewhat a return to normality given that the city was placed in one of the world’s strictest lockdowns after the pandemic began last December.
It is believed that the city has been gradually returning to normal living following testing on all of its 9.9 million residents.
