The European Union have moved a step closer to abolishing daylight savings time as members have voted in favour of scrapping the clock changes in 2021.
In a vote made on Monday, European Parliament Committee, voted in favour to scrap the changes by European Parliament committee voted 23 votes to 11.
However it has yet to be decided which time frame countries will stay on.
The decision comes after 84% of EU residents surveyed said they were in favour of scrapping the clock changes last year.
