The HSE have confirmed that healthcare workers who have been identified as close contacts and don’t have any Covid-19 symptoms can return to work.
It is understood that the decision is being made due to a shortage of healthcare staff at hospital across the country.
According to RTE News, Health Service Executive Chief Operations Officer Anne O’Connor said staff will be monitored regularly with their temperatures being checked twice a day.
It is believed that there are 7,000 healthcare staff out of work due to testing positive, being identified as a close contact and childcare shortage.
