Lawyer for US’ Public Broadcasting Service suggests taking children from Trump supporters, sending them to “re-education camps”

A senior lawyer for America’s Public Broadcasting Service has been fired after undercover footage captured by Ken O’Keefe’s Project Veritas, show’s him saying that the children of Trump supporting parents should be taken away from them and sent to “re-education camps”.

In a worrying insight into the prevalent mindset of America’s version of RTE and other major corporate media outlets, Michael Beller, described by Project Veritas as the “principal counsel” for PBS also advocated violence should President Trump not leave the White House willingly.

In the footage captured before the 2020 presidential election Beller is asked “What are you going to do if we don’t win?” by an undercover journalist working for Project Veritas he replied “Go to the White House and throw Molotov cocktails”.

PBS has since tweeted since the footage went viral stating:

PBS response to Project Veritas: “This employee no longer works for PBS. As a mid-level staff attorney, he did not speak on behalf of our organization, nor did he make any editorial decisions…”

There is no place for hateful rhetoric at PBS, and this individual’s views in no way reflect our values or opinions.” (2/3)

“We strongly condemn violence and will continue to do what we have done for 50 years – use our national platform and local presence to strengthen communities and bring people together.” (3/3)
