The Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan has urged everyone who has not yet received a Covid-19 vaccine to register for their vaccine.
In a tweet Dr Holohan said that almost 70% of the population is vaccinated and those who haven’t yet received their vaccine should register for one as soon as possible.
The Chief Medical Officer also said that there has been a high uptake of the vaccine and urged everyone who is eligible for a vaccine to take their opportunity and register.
He also urged parents and gaurdians of those aged 12 to 15 to register their child for a vaccine as soon as an opportunity arises.
Following advice from the National Immunisation Advisory Committee (NIAC), which has been approved by Government, I encourage parents and guardians of those aged 12-15 years of age to register them for a vaccination as soon as the opportunity arises.
