Co Louth woman comes up with solution that could see hairdressers and barbers opened much sooner than July 20th

A County Louth hairdresser has come up with a solution that could see you getting your hair cut or coloured much sooner than July 20th.

Drogheda woman Jean McDonnell showed off her invention on Monday night’s Claire Byrne Live and depicted how she could safely cut someone’s hair without either breathing on them or touching anywhere other than their hair.

Jean said she has submitted the invention to Leo Varadkar who has sent it on to the Health Department to assess if it could be rolled our across the country.

As it stands, hairdressers and barbers are not allowed reopen until July 20th, but perhaps, thanks to one Drogheda woman, the reopening could happen much sooner.
