Last month US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo stepped up his allegations against Beijing that the communist dictatorship had engaged in a cover up of the true nature and scale of the outbreak thus enabling it to spread across the world.
Liu Dengfeng, a supervisor with China’s National Health Commission, admitted that ‘the Chinese government issued an order on January 3 to dispose of coronavirus samples’ at unauthorised laboratories, according to Newsweek.
The Trump administration, earlier this year, cut off funding for the World Health Organisation and called for a investigation into how the UN organisation initially dealt with the outbreak, claiming that it acquiesced to Chinese demands to help cover up the truth of the Covid-19 outbreak.
