The world’s biggest soft drinks manufacturer Coca Cola will for the first time ever introduce an alcoholic drink.
In a move that has taken over 132 years to make, the popular soft drink manufacturer will officially launch its own alcoholic beverage in Japan.
It is understood Coca Cola who have a number of products under its own brand, will attempt to rival Japan’s Chu-Hi in a bid to conquer the countries ever growing alco-pop market.
Chu-Hi who are leading manufacturer of alcohol flavoured fizzy drinks in Japan, have reportedly prompted Coca Cola into making a move into the market as the recent surge in the sale of alcohol mixed lemonade drinks has become mainstream business in the country.
Although Coca Cola have yet decide whether or not to sell the drinks in other regions, it is believed the new drink will have an alcohol content between 3 to 8%.
