Colder week ahead as Met Eireann say unsettled weather is to come

Last week Ireland was treated to glorious sunshine and milder temperatures which had us thinking of summer, but if you were hoping that the good spring weather would continue you will be disappointed to hear that the weather is to become unsettled this week.

According to Met Éireann, the country will see cooler temperatures along with showers over the coming days.

The national forecaster say temperatures are expected to drop between 10 to 14C over the coming days ahead, they also say that some heavy showers are expected throughout the week.

Temperatures are also expected to plummet overnight with highs of 1 to 5C tonight.

Forecasters say that there is a strong possibility that mist patches will develop in some areas overnight which will eventually clear by dawn.
