Wave Northern cars on: Uproar as Northern Ireland residents can go anywhere they want in the South with no lockdown restrictions

Once Northern Irish residents get past the border, they can do whatever they like in terms of lockdown restrictions. They can freely drive across Ireland and no garda has the power to stop them. They don’t need to even social distance thanks to the flawed legislation that Simon Harris signed in.

In what can only be described as idiotic and utterly disgraceful, it’s been revealed that there’s a sort of ‘loophole’ in the new garda legislation that means people travelling to the Republic of Ireland from the North or anywhere outside of the State can NOT be prosecuted or even told to go home.

The Minister for Health Simon Harris signed in the new legislation that gave gardai new powers to arrest people who wouldn’t adhere to lockdown measures.

It’s utterly ridiculous though, as it’s emerged that people from the north who live along the border can drive into the South and literally go wherever they want without any repercussions.
