Commuters in London face severe disruption as Tube workers go on strike

Commuters in London are facing severe disruption today and over the weekend, as Tube workers are set to engage in industrial action over the next 72 hours.

The Bakerloo line will have little or no service between noon today and Monday evening as drivers down tools over ‘unworkable’ schedules. According to drivers, recent timetable changes put them ‘under intolerable levels of personal stress.’

Disruption will be compounded by signaling works on the Circle, District, Hammersmith, and City and Metropolitan lines, plus a closure in the Northern line between Moorgate and Kennington stations.
