More weather misery on the way, with heavy rain and strong winds predicted for the next 24 hours




There’s no let up in the current spell of miserable weather, as Met Eireann is predicting heavy rain and strong winds for the next 24 hours.

There are two weather warnings currently in place; The first warning is for heavy rainfall, affecting Sligo, Donegal, Mayo, and Leitrim. It came into effect at 3am today, and will expire at the same time tomorrow.

The second warning is for strong winds, affecting Donegal, Galway, and Mayo. This warning will also expire at 3am tomorrow.
