There’s now real concerns getting risen about just we’re actually taking into the country and more importantly from where they’re actually coming from.
Some websites have been trading for a while whilst others have just been set up.
One fake passport service sells Ukrainian passports for €790. That’s a cheap price for non-Ukrainians to pay to get access to permanent resettlement with free housing, healthcare, education and unemployment money.
With a Ukrainian passport you can now access every country in the EU, if not the world. There has been a lot of noise this week about “Third Country Citizens” living in Ukraine using their Ukrainian passports to claim refugee status. Some on social media are claiming that Third Country Citizens with Ukrainian passports are being granted refugee status in Ireland.
If such practices are happening, either fake passports or fake refugees, we hope the Department of Justice has the ability and experienced staff to deport those taking advantage of the Irish community. Time will tell.
