Coronavirus: A dry summer looks likely as Simon Harris says when he thinks pubs will finally be able to re-open

Many people are feeling the pinch in relation to the lockdown measurest that the government imposed on the country.

Some are saying that they’ll wait until May 5th but that they better be lifted then while others say that they lockdown should be extended.

Minister for Health Simon Harris has said that he ‘does not think pubs can re-open until a vaccine (for Covid-19) is found,’ according the Irish Mirror.

Those people hoping to get back to their few pints after work might just have to drink at home for another while, as their favourites might remain shut for some time yet.

The minister also ruled out allowing mass gatherings ‘for the foreseeable future’, meaning that it’s highly unlikely we’ll get to the beer gardens for a few scoops this summer.

Lockdown restrictions were recently extended until May 5 but it remains to be seen whether the government will stick to that date.
