The latest figures confirm 4 new cases across the island of Ireland with the majority of patients being infected by either travelling from Italy themselves or being in contact with someone who was recently in Italy.
The only known community-transferred case is a male patient in Cork University Hospital who hasn’t been in Italy recently.
The Health service believe that there will be multiple more cases confirmed in the coming days as work rolls on to try and find people were in contact with those affected over the past 10 days.
