A leading British medical authority has said that ‘many thousands of people’ in the UK will become infected with coronavirus in the days and weeks ahead.
Nevertheless, the same authority said that ‘99%’ of those infected will only experience a ‘mild’ disease that can be managed at home.
The UK has so far seen 319 cases and five deaths,
