Officials working on behalf of the Chinese city of Wuhan have released a revised figure of the overall Covid-19-related death toll in the pandemic’s ground zero.
The new figure has added 1,290 more deaths, a massive 50% increase on the original figure. The total death toll in Wuhan now stands at 3,869.
According to officials, the ‘wrong’ death toll arose because of ‘omissions, delays, and mistakes.’
