Coronavirus: Death toll in Spain reaches critical mass following the death of 849 more people in a 24h period, the highest daily increase since the start of the crisis

The Covid-19-related death toll in Spain has reached critical mass, after it emerged that 849 people died in a 24h period.

This is the highest number of deaths in a single day since the start of the crisis.

The total number of infections in Spain is now approaching 95,000, and has now surpassed China’s official figure of just over 81,000.
