The ICU ward at the Mater Hospital in Dublin is now ‘full’, according to medical authorities there.
The Irish Mirror confirms that Dr. Colman O’Loughlin, the Director of Critical Care Medicine at the facility, said that a number of patients who were on ventilators have now been moved to the ‘high-dependency’ unit, where an extra 18 beds have been sourced.
Mr. O’Loughlin also said that most of the patients in the ICU ward are being treated for Covid-19.
