There have been over 100 people tested in Ireland but thankfully nobody has tested positive. There has been a surge in testing over the last three days as the coronavirus spreads through Europe.
Dr Kevin Kelleher said that it’s possible for someone in Ireland to have the coronavirus and they don’t realise that they have it. They may not realise that their symptoms may be as bad as they are and that they spread them to others.
The HSE have launched a massive campaign for anyone who thinks that they may be symptomatic to come forward and ring their GP – but not to go down to their GP and to stay isolated.
The advice to the general public is to cover their mouth, wash their hands. People are advised to share this information with their friends.
