Coronavirus: Spanish princess becomes first royal to die from covid-19

Princess Maria Theresa of Spain died after testing positive for the covid-19. The princess, cousin of King Felipe VI of Spain, was the first royal to die from the virus when she died in Paris on Friday at the age of 86.

Her younger brother, Prince Sixtus Henry of Bourbon-Parma, announced the sad news that 832 more died in Spain from Covid-19, increasing the death toll to 5,690. Princess Maria Theresa of the Bourbon-Parma Royal family was born on July 28, 1933 in Paris to the parents of Prince Xavier and Madeleine de Bourbon.

Tributes have been paid to the royal with authorities saying that coronavirus is practically out of control in Spain.
