Ten public transport workers have so far died in London, prompting the city’s mayor to issue a desperate plea for people to avoid using public transportation unless it’s absolutely necessary.
It is understood that eight of the victims were bus drivers.
An additional 403 people have died in England from Covid-19-related causes over the last 24h.
