It’s a figure than no one wants to see grow but nevertheless there’s a large amount of people in hospitals across Ireland being treated for coronavirus.
There’s currently 1,777 people in hospitals across Ireland with 261 of those patients having been rushed into intensive care units to be treated for covid-19.
Current lockdown measures are in place as an effort to slow the spread of the virus but Dr Tony Holohan, the chief medical officer, said that it’s still too soon to know just how much of an effect all that the public are doing has had on the spread of coronavirus.
