The HSE announced on Thursday evening that there was 401 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Republic of Ireland with another 43 people dying.
It brings the total in the Republic of Ireland to 20,612 cases and 1,232 deaths with the government expecting a 30% increase daily from this week.
There’s 57% of men with coronavirus and 43% of women with the average age being 48.
Meanwhile in the north, there were 73 new confirmed cases today bringing the total in Northern Ireland to 3,526 with the total number of deaths there now standing at 347.
It means that as of Friday morning, there’s a total of 1,579 deaths from coronavirus.
