It looks likely that for most of us it’s going to be a washout weekend ahead, however there is some good news and that comes in the form of sunshine from Monday!
Met Eireann has confirmed that cool and showery weather is set to continue for another 48h, but better weather is on the way.
Today, Thursday, will be an overall bright day, with showers at times and temperatures reaching 13C at best.
Friday will see a similar pattern of bright weather and showers, and temperatures ranging between 9C-12C.
The rain will clear overnight on Friday, leading into a dry, sunny day, with the possibility of rain on coastal areas by evening.
Sunday is currently looking like a dry and bright day, but conditions might change quickly depending on the course taken by an area of low pressure.
Early indications point to a big change in the weather by Monday, with temperatures rising to almost 20C.
