Around 15,000 applications for Covid-19 payments have so far been refused by the Social Protection department, according to the Irish Mirror.
The reasons quoted for the refusals vary from typographic errors to issues with eligibility.
The department confirmed that about 283,000 payments had been made as of Friday last.
