Covid-19: There’s now a total of 3,443 confirmed cases of coronavirus on the island of Ireland

The HSE announced on Monday evening that there was 295 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Republic of Ireland with another eight people dying.

It brings the total in the Republic of Ireland to 2,910 with the government expecting a 30% increase daily from this week.

There’s 57% of men with coronavirus and 43% of women with the average age being 47.

Meanwhile in the north, there were 123 new confirmed cases today bringing the total in Northern Ireland to 510 with one patient dying there in the last 24 hours.

It means that as of Monday morning, there are now 3,443 confirmed cases across the island of Ireland.
