Coronavirus: Top Irish medic says schools could remain closed even after the summer holidays

Hopefully your kids are enjoying being at home and learning at home because, according to one top Irish medic, it could go on for quite some time yet.

A top Irish doctor has said that schools and colleges ‘could remain closed even after the summer recess’.

According to an article published by the Irish Mirror, Dr Cillian De Gascun has warned that there is a real possibility of educational institutions remaining closed for the foreseeable future.

The HSE are making absolutely no assertions or recommendations for such measures at the moment, but they’re monitoring the situation literally at an hourly rate to see if measurements need to be extended, including the closure of schools.

Children thankfully don’t seem to be getting coronavirus in a widespread outbreak, but they can carry it – and that’s the real problem.
