A female tiger living in the Bronx Zoo in New York has tested positive for Covid-19.
The animal, a 4-year-old Malayan tiger named Nadia, was tested after developing a dry cough in recent days.
Nadia, along with other tigers in the facility with similar symptoms, is expected to recover fully.
All four zoological parks in New York have been closed to the public since March 16. The city has been badly hit by the coronavirus outbreak, having reported over 4,000 deaths so far.
