Things may well be bad in Europe but they could be about to get a whole lot worse if predictions bear true for Africa.
A spokesperson for the United Nations has said that Africa will see 300,000 Covid-19-related deaths in a ‘best-case scenario.’
A grim prediction of up to 3m deaths has also been postulated, if no decisive action to curb the spread of the disease is taken now.
There currently are an estimated 19,000 confirmed cases and around 1,000 deaths across Africa.
