The United States is reportedly preparing to wage a long war against Covid-19.
Leading medical authorities there say that the outbreak could last ’18 months, or longer’, and that relevant preparations should be made.
Official figures say that almost 9,000 people have so far tested positive for the disease, with no fewer than 150 deaths.
