The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued a stark warning about Covid-19, saying that the virus ‘will be with us for a long time.’
WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus also said that some of the countries easing lockdown restrictions are seeing a resurgence of the disease, and that new infection numbers have begun to rise again.
Mr. Adhanom was particularly scathing about the handling of the health crisis in the United States, as the country has reported over 800,000 cases of the disease, far more than any other nation in the world.
