Couple fined €1,000 each for breaching covid regulations after gardai looked in the window of their house and saw six people sitting at a table with more upstairs




A County Meath couple were fined a total of €2,000 after they held a house party which breached the restrictions and covid-19 regulations and guidelines.

According to the Irish Times, Juztyna Orkwiszewski and Krsystof Orkwiszewski from Kells Co Meath were in Trim District Court charged under the Health Act 1947 with breaching lockdown regulations on May 16th.

The Irish Times reports that Sergeant Kevin Mooney said that gardaí visited the couple’s address and looked in a window and saw six people sitting at a table.

They were granted admission into the house and found a total of 30 people at the property, including 10 inside, 10 outside in the garden and 10 people upstairs.

It’s understood that the couple of their daughter were the only three people who were living in the house at the time.

According to the Irish Times, Judge Cormac Dunne imposed a €1,000 fine on each of the accused.
