Simon Coveney has said that he would like to remain as the Minister for Foreign Affairs although he did state that decision over his position isn’t up to him.
Speaking to RTE’s Today with Sarah McInerney, Coveney said that even though he doesn’t normally publicly lobby himself for a position he said he would like to continue in the position.
Coveney who said the matter over Ministerial positions will be up to the parties in Governmentp, he said that he is confident that progressive and exciting government that the new Government could provide a lot of hope and optimism to the people.
He added that the programme set out for Government is an ambitious one but it could be achieved in the coming years to come.
