Covid-19: Acting Chief Medical Officer Ronan Glynn says that ‘we will have to live with the threat of the virus’

Acting Chief Medical Officer Ronan Glynn has said that ‘we will have to live with the threat of the virus.’

Dr. Glynn added that he ‘doesn’t believe the virus can be completely eliminated from Ireland.’

The ominous warning comes after 147 new cases were confirmed on Monday evening.

European health authorities have urged Ireland to impose a full lockdown again as the situation keeps deteriorating further and further every day.

A total of 1,777 people have died from Covid-19-related causes in Ireland so far.
