Scientists are warning that a new coronavirus strain detected in California might be up to eleven times deadlier than other strains.
Researchers have dubbed it the B.1.427/B.1.429 ‘Devil’ variant.
It’s not yet clear how effective the current vaccines are against this new strain, which has not yet been detected in Ireland or the UK.
