A woman and a child have been rescued after they fell from a ferry in Belfast Harbour.
According to BBC News, the woman and the 11 year old girl were rescued after they fell whilst the Stenna Line ferry they were travelling on was approaching the dock.
It is understood that rescue crews were immediately sent to the scene of the incident which occurred at 6:45pm on Thursday evening.
Police investigating the incident say both the woman and the child were taken to hospital after they were safely recovered from the water.
They added an investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
It is understood that the ferry was arriving in the harbour after travelling from Liverpool.
