Lifting of lockdown in the UK could be delayed due to the emergence of more virulent coronavirus variants.
A group of scientists in the country is warning the British Government about the Indian variant, thought to be behind the apocalyptic scenes witnessed in India in recent days.
Lockdown is currently scheduled to end on June 21, but that date is now in jeopardy.
