The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued a stark warning that the pandemic will be ‘far deadlier’ this year.
The warning comes amidst catastrophic outbreaks in India and an extension of the state of emergency in Japan.
Official figures say that almost 3.4m people have died from Covid-19-related causes worldwide since the start of the pandemic, but authorities believe the true figure to be far higher.
