Covid-19: Balearic Islands might be moved to UK’s ‘amber list’ as number of infections continues to rise

Spain’s Balearic Islands might be moved to UK’s ‘amber list’ as the number of infections continues to rise there.

It is understood that no fewer than 304 new infections were confirmed on Thursday alone.

The move to ‘amber’ might come as a blow to those hoping to book holidays to the area, or those who might have already booked them.

The Balearics are now in the UK’s ‘watchlist,’ which means they could be moved to ‘amber’ from one day to the next, forcing quarantine for those returning to the UK.
