Covid-19: Chief Medical Officer warns that indoor hospitality could remain closed for many months if vaccine passes are not implemented

Ireland’s Chief Medical Officer is today warning he could keep indoor hospitality closed for many months if vaccine passes are not implemented.

The National Public Emergency Team (NPHET) has already stated categorically that indoor areas in pubs and restaurants, and other indoor hospitality venues should remain closed ‘for the foreseeable future’ unless patrons produce vaccination papers at the door.

The hospitality industry is pushing back hard against this to prevent a ‘two-tier’ society that could quickly descend into chaos.
