Covid-19: Belgium will administer the Johnson & Johnson vaccine to people aged 41 and over following reports of deadly outcomes

Belgium will administer the Johnson & Johnson vaccine to people aged 41 and over only, following reports of a woman’s death shortly after taking the jab.

It is understood that the country will seek ‘further guidance’ from the European Medicines Agency (EMA) about the safety of the jab.

Denmark has banned the use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine on its citizens, while Norway only gives it to ‘volunteers’. Meanwhile, about one hundred thousand doses of this particular vaccine are on the way to Ireland.
